The Christian Proselytizer Questionaire #10 Slavery?

10. Explain why, when slavery is clearly wrong, the Bible clearly supports slavery. Answering this question entails refuting 1 Peter 2:18. NOTE: under no circumstances will I believe that slavery is an acceptable way to structure an economy.

The teachings and practices of Jesus Christ don’t support slavery. This verse itself doesn’t support slavery, but gives guidance for dealing with a harsh master. If the master heeds the instruction earlier in the chapter to  “rid yourselves of all malice” then the slave would already have been set free.
